One of the fun things I do as M.P. is speak with students about my job, and about the role the federal government plays in their lives.
This week, Canadian Geographic Education’s giant floor map arrived at Fairview Heights Elementary as part of CPAC’s Route 338 project. I joined grade 4 students in exploring the map of all of Canada’s 338 electoral districts and talked to them about the work of an M.P.
I also participated in a question and answer session with Political Studies students at Mount Saint Vincent University about the role of the Speaker of the House of Commons in our democracy.
