Statement by Geoff Regan, M.P. on Camp Hill Hospital Centennial:
For 100 years, Camp Hill Hospital has provided care and support to Canadian war veterans.
In 1917, the Canadian military opened the hospital to provide lodging for wounded soldiers. Although it was intended as a temporary hospital, Camp Hill continued to offer care through the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War, then evolved to meet the needs of veterans through residential long-term care.
As we celebrate the centennial of the founding of the hospital today, I would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Camp Hill Hospital for their dedicated care of those who have served our country.
